800 Unpublished Drawings from the Venetian 19th CenturyExhibition
From December 19th to April 11th 2010 at Correr Museum it will be presented an exhibition of 19th Century drawings, most of which are on display for the very first time. The main artists are Caffi, Pividor, Guardi, Moro, Bosa, Vervloet.

The exhibition, curated by Giandomenico Romanelli, wants to highlight the value of these works whose leitmotiv is Venice: Venice as subject, as place of conception and realization or as inspiring muse.
The image of Venice that appears in the nineteenth-century drawings is unique and surprising: it is the image of Venice that lost its hegemony in the Mediterranean, and that is both modern and ancient, distracted and suffering, secret and well-known; it reveals the nerves and muscles of a body in suffering that refuses to yield, full of life and dynamic.
